Golden Fields & Autumn Light | Cecilia’s Fall Senior Photos

Fall senior photos at Soergel Orchards pumpkin patch

There is something about fall.

The crisp air.
The golden/ orange light.
The way the hills seem to glow just before sunset (especially in the north rolling hills of the city.) And don’t ever ever forget pumpkin patches and all the things!

When Cecilia, a senior at Quaker Valley High School, told me she loved autumn, I knew her fall senior photos needed to fallish, joyful, and completely wrapped in that golden October magic.

We chose Soergel Orchards — with its rolling hills, pumpkins, flowers, and country charm — and it could not have been more perfect. The weather during Ceci’s shoot was absolutely perfect! Just enough chill in the air to wear a sweater- so bright and sunny that I knew the final portraits would glow!

Fall Vibes at the Orchard

Cecilia’s bright blonde hair caught the light perfectly against the rich oranges and deep greens brown of the pumpkin patch. We used the pumpkins for playful, props.. And even the old tractor adding something nostalgic and vibe to her session. Some of mom’s favorite portraits were those taken after the sunset near the greenhouse and other buildings with the fun lights strong over the pathway!

Fall senior photos have a vibe all their own.

The warmth.
The colors.
The way everything feels nostalgic before the year is even over.

She laughed easily, moved effortlessly around the pumpkin patch, and looked completely at home surrounded by the season she loves most. We didn’t even have time to go over near the Orchard Grove!

For the Moms Who Love Fall

There is something extra emotional about fall senior photos.

Maybe it’s because autumn is a transition. A shift. A season of change.

Your students senior year is exactly like that! When you add together all the last first it’s overwhelming to think about.

When it comes to your students portraits these images are not just for social media. They are the pictures and memories that become:

  • A 24×16 framed canvas above the fireplace
  • A handcrafted custom curated heirloom album displayed on your end table.
  • The artwork in your hall and walls you walk past every day when she has left for college..

The warmth of the fall colors makes for beautiful & timeless luxury wall art. Earthy tones, creamy skin, soft golden light — they feel timeless and warm, especially when fall is everyone’s favorite season!

Cecilia’s gallery will tell part of the story of who she was in her last fall of childhood — joyful, confident, and standing right on the edge of the transition into adulthood.

And that is worth preserving beautifully- forever!

Part of Ceci’s wall art order included an 8×12 & 24×16 custom framed prints. These products were printed on fine art paper with a brushed art coating instead of traditional glass. These beautiful statement artwork were framed using a chunky two-toned reclaimed barn wood. This custom framing was the perfect compliment to her fall session at the Orchard!

PS”: fall sessions book in the spring! What does that mean? As a senior portrait photographer, Heidi Iliff only shoots seniors and most senior work is done between the months of June to October! With only a few weeks of peak fall colors and weather, coupled with the fact that Heidi only does three students per week- these October dates generally sell first!
