Early fall is my favorite season for photography. The weather in Pittsburgh is nearest to perfect during the end of September until Halloween. You can wear shorts or a suit, and be comfortable in either. It also is when I am most busy with Senior photo sessions.
Everyone tends to realize their kid is,*-crap-* a senior in high school and they need to start planning all the things.
“The best time to plan a senior session is in the early summer. That is when you get the best pick of all of my fall dates. If you wait until September to book a session you will often times find you can’t book with who you would prefer.”

Louis’ mom and I met in the nursery where we both spend time holding the babies a few times of the month. Connected as we were I didn’t realize she had a senior son. She quickly grabbed a date as soon as she found out about my business. I had shot one of her son’s very best friends.
Louis cracked me up when he reluctantly finished his survey stating that he “would be wearing a suit because his parent’s were forcing him to do so..” When I picked up Louis and his mom at their home, his dad greeted me with a jolly “do your best with this one!” I laughed: “That should be no problem,” I told Mr. S. Louis seemed to be a handsome, friendly guy: and although he was reluctant to wear that suit I must say He rocked it!
His momma seemed happy and relaxed during the session saying she could see his personality shine though. We always walk a lot and I love making the guys climb on things and be a little crazy, because it really relaxes them. I even had Louis sit on the ground in his suit.
You will learn that I love to shoot interesting angles and “cool lighting” when the time comes for your session. I will move you around a lot finding cool spots: and some of them will turn out super cool, and some of them flop (I’ll admit). My one piece of advice is, be flexible, stay relaxed and try things that might seem a little crazy at the time.
The Eden Guys as I would later refer to them as were so polite, sweet and full of unique personality. I enjoyed each unique session immensely. To Louis and all my other senior guys from Eden: Have an amazing summer and be blessed with new adventures and opportunities as you all head to college next fall!
