Love for the Month.

I’m looking super forward to my “couple’s mini” sessions next month! Just think of what kind of art we can make together if we leave the kiddos at home!

Wow. January 2022 came in with a bang for my family! I had all these plans… I don’t make resolutions, so I had nothing blown like that, but just your typical “plans to start the year off on the right foot” sorts of things. All of us vaccinated and boosted: some of us caught the rona. They say it’s everywhere and unavoidable, and who ever “they” are: they’re probably right, haha. I’ll save you all the boring details..

It caused my blogging to be put on the bottom of a to-do pile, so if you are anxiously awaiting a blog about your session, All I can say is: they’re coming just delayed.

I wanted to use this space to tell you all about something I include in every one of my family sessions. It’s a built in “couple session”. I know that this part is not always embraced with happiness by all of my clients, so if that’s you and you’re reading this because you’ve booked me, let me know prior to our time together to avoid any “awkward” moments.

Why I think it’s important, and why I will keep it in my Family style sessions forever:

Every family started out as a couple who loved each other. I know all families don’t remain intact, but for those who do: let’s capture that love.. that connection.. that relationship. It’s so important to your kids if you are still together: to have some photography evidence of that!

If you are still with your sweetie that’s a feat in the world we live in, it’s something to be super proud of and to know it is a blessing. I’m just trying to help you catch that for you.

Your kids are so cute.. they are changing every day, and its super important to capture those moments with them. But I think your love as a couple is equally special and a memory worth preserving.

Here are some zoomed in, cropped down photos from some of my sessions over the last year or so. I find that I have gotten better at pushing the couples together and getting that all-be-it sometimes awkward feeling of their unique love for each other. If you see a photo here that is of you, and you’d like it for your collection: shoot me a quick email and I’ll make sure that happens!

I know not every kind of couple is represented here. These are just some of my favorites I have had the privilege of shooting this last year and a half. I spend only a small portion of my normal family time capturing my couples.

I’d love to add your love story to my portfolio! If you are interested in booking a full session: it would be considered a “Family Session” under my details and pricing. You’d be my first ever couple.. without a family attached to it, which would be so super fun! I can only imagine the amazing images we could create if we had a whole hour to play!

Cheers to the month of February!!
