Senior Mini Sessions

It’s a “unconventional” way to do senior photography. SO why am I offering these?

I wanted to take this blog to explain some key reasons for a mini-session for high school senior clients. I also wanted to give examples of my work from last year that was done during this type of session.

The why:

#1 Busy. I am busy and I know the mom’s and especially the upcoming senior’s are super busy. I have created these blocks to try and fit quickly and conveniently into some of my communities time frames. I have had questions as to whether or not I will run these mini blocks in the fall as well and tentatively I will not. I have a very full and still filling calendar for September and October: and I do not plan to take on more editing load during that time. If that changes. I will certainly let everyone know!

#2 Budget. My family is on a tight budget. If I personally were picking a session for my own senior son today: I’d want to find a well known photographer who was running what they call a mini session. You are guaranteed some great images in the style you love: but they are more affordable. Yes, you can spend the same amount or more on your purchased images, but you still have more control over the timing of your spending and frankly how much you can afford.

#3 Volume & spreading out my work load. My son is graduating this year and I know many of the families and seniors also. I know God will bless me with the amount of work that fill’s my calendar and keeps my business stable. I thought that I would give some opportunities to spreading my work load into the summer: in order to give everyone who wants to work with me a chance to do so.

#4 Short and Sweet. Does you senior really just want a quick session? With a mini: it’s short and sweet. You have the perks of having a changing tent if you’d like to change up your fit. You have the perk of a great headshot to have for your yearbook. You’ll have plenty of images to pick from for a framed portrait or a canvas for the wall. You will more than likely have enough purchasable images to even make a “Senior Book”. You will gain access to my senior lounge page when you book: so you can have access to all the resources available to my Full Senior Clients.

What Tim & Christian Picked for their yearbooks:

You will be able to pick any of the photos in your gallery as your one yearbook edited photo. When I know your pick I sharpen and edit that photo so it is perfect for your yearbooks guidelines. Every School is different on they type of image the allow. But with the variety of images you will be able to easily selected one that fits your needs: even if that means cropping from a full body image. When it has been perfected: I place the new photo back into your gallery: and you are able to download it watermark free.

The overall variety:

I have chosen my favorite 15 photos from each of these boy’s session to show you the variety of a 15 photo gallery.

Each of these boys actually had over 30 photos in their galleries. This is all in a one hour time block in 1 preset location. Tim’s location was Pontefract Marrow Park in Sewickley, Christian’s was on the North Shore near the “Yellow Bridges”.

Thanks for reading! Have a great rest of your week!
