Some sessions don’t need hours or multiple locations to feel complete. I do one location session all the time, especially at locations like Mellon park. There are several places around Pittsburgh that are perfect for the student that doesn’t want to “travel all over for hours..” and this is one of them!

Lucy is a senior at Quaker Valley High School, and we kept her session simple—just a beautiful summer evening at Mellon Park in Pittsburgh. It was lovely and perfect (just like her!) We had actually rescheduled due to cloudy overcast weather. Lucy really wanted a bright sparkling sunset!

The Mellon Stone Garden‘s is part of Phipps Conservatory and has this timeless, romantic feel to it.

Soft light, warm stone, and diverse greenery and beautifully well kept gardens. It is an amazing stand alone location just due to it’s variety! Note- it is not a location that I offer on weekends. It and the Harwood acres mansion commonly host events and parties on weekends and because of that I try to steer clear of them! When they aren’t having a wedding, they are literally swarming with photographers. Monday- Wednesday Evenings or very early mornings are the best time to shoot at this particular location.

This session was short and sweet, we laughed and moved around the park having a genuinely fun time! Lucy’s beautiful outfit choices and pretty jewelry complemented this park perfectly. She has a beautiful smile and a fun personality!

That’s all she needed to have an Epic Senior Session!
