S.S. Blog.
Hi everyone! It’s been an amazing busy, outdoor photo season for my business. I would like to thank everyone who has taken a chance with me this year! Let’s face it, I am a new Photography business. I know I have tried to give as many examples of my work as possible, but still I’m new.
I have learned so much this year. I have taken a few small courses online on posing and Lightroom. My Photography on the whole has seen great improvements just in a few pieces of equipment I have been fortunate to purchase this year.
I title this blog post the S.S. Blog because I will be blogging in the Slow Season. I am doing this mostly for advertising purposes. WAIT WAIT Before you leave let me explain:
Instagram and Facebook are temporary. All Social Media is actually. I am working with a “long term plan” in mind to grow my business by word of mouth, and by Google Analytics. How I do this best, is by getting people out there in the greater Pittsburgh area: to land right here on my website.
I want to come up as your “Pittsburgh family photographer”.. when you don’t know who’s doing shoots in your area and you just hit that old school google search bar!
I will be Blogging all of my shoots for the WHOLE YEAR! Right here. I am aiming to do one or two blogs per week. I plan on having my favorite images and WHY on each of these blog posts. I also will use them to provide contests for the people who are included in the photos!
I LOVE PRINTS. I like photography, I like digital galleries, I LOVE PRINTS. . . . . .
SO: I will be offering a $160 print of either: a “fine Art Print” Framed or a wrapped canvas to any session I blog: if they can get 25 individual comments on their post.
I will be sending you an email just prior to the posting your session’s blog. It will have a direct link to the blog post: and you will have one week to get 25 different IP address’ to come and check out My blog about your session!
YAY FREE STUFF!
**I will only be linking the blog posts to my instagram stories if I have your permission.**
I leave you with this silliness from just prior to a headshot session. I do headshots in my home most of the time unless it is easier for the client if I come to their home or workplace. I was setting up my backdrop and lighting. My daughters were around and it’s always easier to get the lighting right with a human to practice with!
These two bring me so much joy, and so much teenagerness. (If you know, you know.)

Love the shots and the ambition! ❤️
Thanks friend!! ❤️
I think blogging during your slower times is such a good idea! I’m looking forward to looking at your favorites from this year’s sessions!
Thank you! Something to keep my busy. Plus reflecting on my sessions helps me get better as a photographer. ❤️
